Liberian Population by State 2024

Liberian Americans are present in all states of the United States, with varying degrees of concentration. The top five states with the highest Liberian-American population per capita are North Dakota (0.35%), Rhode Island (0.32%), Minnesota (0.24%), South Dakota (0.10%), and Iowa (0.09%). Maryland has the largest total number of Liberian Americans with 4,936 residents identifying as such.

On the other hand, several states have a relatively low Liberian American population, with Idaho, Montana, and Vermont having no reported residents identifying as Liberian American.
