Croatia’s second-largest city is Split, situated on the country’s eastern coast. A popular tourist destination, Split is known for its stunning beaches, as well as museums and architectural remains that date back to the Roman period. The city is the location of Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous Roman monument. Split has a population of around 152.5K.
