Hamburg hotels maintain an average of 75% occupancy throughout the year, and that is after 5,280 new beds were added to accommodate extra tourists. The overall revenue from tourists according to overnight accommodations alone is $11.5 million. The high demand for tourism is due to recent campaigns by the government to increase the number of United States tourists coming into the country. Currently, the primary tourists come from countries such as Switzerland and England.
